Outreach Teacher/Naturalist
Description
Organization: Ogden Nature CenterJob Type: Full-time
Location: Ogden, UT
Salary: $31,500 to $33,000 based on experience
The Outreach Teacher/Naturalist is primarily responsible for providing off-site nature education programs to 1st grade students throughout the state of Utah. Full time Position, -40 hrs. per week Monday through Friday (September through May) Tuesday through Saturday (June, July, and August)
Responsibilities Include:
• Provide environmental education programming to first grade students throughout the state of Utah.
• Transport materials and animals for programming using company vehicle.
• Assist with the creation and implementation of on-site education programs as assigned, including school programs, preschool programs, summer camps, summer Saturday programs and community programs.
• Help train education animals for educational presentations.
• Assist in maintaining accurate records of education programs, materials, travel expenses and mileage reports.
• Participate in events and fundraisers.
• Assist with PR opportunities, including booths at community events and the farmer’s market.
• Other tasks as assigned.
