The New Mexico Wildlife Center offers preprofessional career experience through its Ambassador Animal & Education Program internship opportunities. The program introduces interns to animal husbandry, training, and enrichment; presentation of a variety of on-site, off-site and virtual education programs; and the facilitating of live encounter experiences with native New Mexican wildlife Animal Ambassadors. Internships are typically 12-16 weeks in duration. Longer or shorter internship experiences are possible. Start and end dates for fall and winter internships are flexible within the seasonal availability of September 1 through April 1.
