Environmental Program Instructor
Description
Organization: North Cascades InstituteJob Type: Full-Time, Seasonal, Non-Exempt
Location: Diablo, Washington
Salary: $16.50-$16.75
This position teaches, leads and supports youth, adult, and family programs at the Environmental Learning Center for a ten month period, from mid-February to mid-December. A successful candidate may hail from a variety of professional backgrounds, but loves teaching and being outdoors. They are inspired to share different ways of knowing, engaging science, art, play, creativity, relationship and nature connection, with both children and adults. An employee who successfully completes work from February 13, 2023 through March 15, 2023 will earn a $1,000 sign on bonus. Seasonal Benefits include the following: Paid Sick Leave - 8 hours per month (prorated for employees working less than 40 hours per week); Paid Vacation - 4 days total (32 hours) for seasonal positions with a job duration of 6 months; Holiday Pay - 9 holidays total between February 13-December 14, 2023; Paid Service Days - 2 days total (16 hours); Wilderness First Aid Certification provided by the Institute.
