Organization: Awbury ArboretumJob Type: Full-Time
Location: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Salary: $80,000 to $85,000
Awbury Arboretum is a non-profit membership organization operating a 56 acre arboretum, with an emphasis on education. The land and an endowment were given for those specific purposes by a Quaker family in 1916 and it has been free and open to the public since then. The land is situated in a densely populated portion of NW Phila. but is protected by a conservation easement. The historic landscape & buildings are a designated national historic site. The Executive Director, with oversight from the Board of Directors and input from staff, determines & ensures execution of the overall organizational vision, strategic direction, tactical goals, operating policies/procedures, staffing requirements, fiscal policies, and operating budget. The ED will have overall responsibility for leadership, membership development, community programs direction, fundraising, operations, staffing, and the financial solvency of the organization. The ED reports to the Board through the Board Chair.
