Senior Center Manager, Bent of the River
Description
Organization: Audubon CT/NYJob Type: Full-Time
Location: Southbury, Connecticut
Reporting to the Executive Director of Audubon Connecticut & New York, the Senior Center Manager will serve as the primary point of contact at the Bent of the River Audubon Center (BOTR) and will be responsible for all operations, staff management, and sound financial oversight of the location. BOTR is a critical asset in Audubon Connecticut’s network. The Center is open to the public year-round and provides a variety of onsite education programs. The property includes 700 acres that are maintained and preserved as both a sanctuary and dedicated trail system for visitors. Audubon’s vision for the BOTR is that the center will help promote and advance Audubon’s Bird Friendly Communities strategy in Connecticut, engage the diverse communities it serves in ways that result in conservation actions being taken for birds and the places they need, and mentor and help develop the next generation of conservationists.
