About Trout Lake Nature Center

Trout Lake Nature Center is a 230-acre property that includes an Educational Building and Natural History Museum, as well as trails and a boardwalk to an observation/education dock on Trout Lake. Visitors enjoy walking the many trails, seeing the Education Ambassadors (turtles and snakes), and visiting the exhibits. Trails feature educational displays as well several impressive and inspiring oak trees.

A humongous tree with undulating outstretched limbs stands in mowed grass, with a forest behind. The tree’s many limbs are covered with leaves. In the foreground, a green picnic table.
A raised boardwalk curves gently into a tropical-looking forest. Below the boardwalk, the ground is carpeted with leaves. To the right, a wooden-framed sign that includes pictures of various animals and people on the boardwalk.
A boardwalk with rails leads to a dock with a roof; a group of people stands on the boardwalk and the dock. Beyond, a glimpse of the lake’s water. To the sides, green foliage and trees.
